Who Should Be A Member?
The term 'defence industry' is used to encompass enterprises across all categories and sectors that do business with Defence, either directly or through other contractors. While some products and services certainly relate to weapons systems and platforms such as ships and planes, most consist of ordinary items vital to the life of any community.
The Australian Industry & Defence Network of Western Australia is the peak body for businesses and related agencies within Western Australia's $620 million defence sector. AIDN WA is committed to representing the interests of WA's defence sector, and providing it with a collective voice.
The Network is an incorporated association entirely financed by members' annual fees, and exists to pursue the interests of its members and the industry as a whole.
It is a not-for-profit organisation and has no paid staff. An Executive Committee is elected at each Annual General Meeting and office bearers serve on a voluntary basis, often expending many unpaid hours for the benefit of members and the industry as a whole.
